The Institute for Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics is one of the top ranking research institutes in the field of Computer Vision, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry. Over the years, IfP has been very successful in raising research grants from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the European Union (EU). In addition, numerous projects are realized with national and international industry partners.
